Road miles are measured on the driving network, not straight-line. Ranges are what the lane is paying this week for a standard operable sedan on open transport — an estimate to plan against, not a quote. Oversize, inoperable and enclosed price above these.

How we work with dealers →
More cars were posted this week than last, but rates were mixed: three lanes paid more, four paid less and five held. The Florida split is now three weeks old. Chicago to Tampa is up 8% to $1000–$1100, the highest it has printed in any report. Boston to Miami held last week's record $1400–$1550 and is still the busiest lane on the board, so book it early. New York to Miami was all but unchanged at $1200–$1300. The trip back out keeps getting cheaper: Miami to Chicago fell a third straight week, to $750–$850, its lowest in any report. Southbound lanes firming while the northbound return eases is the likeliest sign of trucks leaving Florida looking for freight.
Per road mile, New York to Miami leads for a second week at about $1.02 a mile over 1,220 miles. Chicago to Los Angeles is thinnest at about $0.55 over 2,013. If you have units waiting, four lanes are at the lowest ranges this report has printed: Phoenix to Chicago at $900–$1100 and Houston to Atlanta at $450–$550, both down 9%, plus Atlanta to Chicago at $550–$650 and Miami to Chicago. Houston to Los Angeles went the other way, up 9% to $800–$950, its second weekly rise.
