Vehicle Transport for Dealers
AutoMove moves dealer inventory. We arrange transport out of Manheim and ADESA, between rooftops on a dealer trade, and from wholesale buys to your lot — one unit or several on the same order, anywhere in the lower 48.
Who this is for
Franchise and independent dealers who buy at auction and need the unit on the lot instead of accruing storage. If you hold a dealer license and a buyer account, you are already the customer we are set up for — there is nothing to enroll in and no minimum volume.
What we move
Auction purchases
Dealer-only sales at Manheim and ADESA, plus every Copart and IAA yard for the salvage and insurance side of your book.
Dealer trades
Swapping a unit with another store, in-brand or out. Point-to-point between two dealerships, in whatever direction the trade runs.
Wholesale and off-lease
Units bought off a wholesaler, a lease return centre or a fleet disposal, brought back to your inventory.
Retail delivery
A sold unit going out to your customer's driveway, in state or across the country.
How it works
- Send the details. Stock or lot number, where it sits, where it is going, and whether it runs. A photo of the gate pass or buyer sheet is usually enough.
- We quote the lane. Priced per unit. The rate depends on distance, how busy the lane is, vehicle condition and whether you want open or enclosed — not on a rate card that ignores all four.
- We book the carrier and verify the paperwork. We confirm the assigned carrier's cargo insurance before dispatch, and we make sure the driver is authorized on your buyer account so the auction actually releases the unit.
- You get pickup and delivery confirmation. Call or text for status rather than logging into a portal.
What you get
- Single unit or several units on one order
- Open or enclosed equipment
- Runners and non-runners — winch service where the unit will not drive on
- The assigned carrier's cargo insurance verified before the unit is dispatched
- A direct line instead of a ticket queue — call or text (708) 888-0557
- No account to open, no monthly minimum

Common questions
Do I need to set up an account before you will quote?
No. Send the pickup location, the destination and the unit details and you get a price back. Dealers who ship with us regularly usually just text the stock number and the destination.
Can you pick up from a dealer-only auction on my behalf?
Yes. Manheim and ADESA release to a carrier that is authorized on the buying dealer's account, against a gate pass tied to the unit. You stay the buyer of record; we make sure the driver is on the release before he shows up, so the unit is not sitting while someone sorts out authorization at the gate.
Can you move several units at once?
Yes. Several units out of the same sale usually travel better together than as separate bookings, and a full or partial load out of one yard is easier to cover than a single unit on the same lane. Send the whole list rather than one at a time.
What happens if a unit is damaged in transit?
The claim goes against the carrier's cargo insurance, which is why we confirm that coverage is active before dispatch rather than after. Note the condition on the bill of lading at pickup and again at delivery — a signed clean BOL at delivery is the hardest thing to walk back on a claim.
What does it cost?
It is priced per lane, not per mile off a flat table. We published real 2026 numbers on eight measured auction routes if you want the shape of it before you ask for a quote on your own lane.
Have a unit to move?
Send the lot or stock number and the destination. You will have a price back the same business day.
