Road miles are measured on the driving network, not straight-line. Ranges are what the lane is paying this week for a standard operable sedan on open transport — an estimate to plan against, not a quote. Oversize, inoperable and enclosed price above these.

How we work with dealers →
About as many cars were posted as last week, and rates split evenly: five lanes paid more, five paid less and two held. The Florida split is now five weeks old and wider than ever. Boston to Miami rose to $1450–$1650, New York to Miami to $1250–$1400 and Chicago to Tampa to $1100–$1200, all three the highest they have printed in any report. The two Miami lanes are also the busiest on the board, so book them early. The trip back out keeps getting cheaper: Miami to Chicago fell a fifth straight week, to $600–$750, its lowest in any report.
Seattle to Los Angeles was the biggest mover, up 24% to $1100–$1200, also its highest yet. Per road mile, New York to Miami leads for a fourth week at about $1.09 a mile over 1,220 miles. Houston to Los Angeles is thinnest at about $0.50 over 1,536 after falling 18% to $700–$850, ending three straight weeks of gains, and Houston to Atlanta gave back last week's rebound, down 24% to $500–$600. If you have units waiting in Houston, this is a cheap week to move them.
